Description

HEAVENSLEA is a house, likely originating in the 17th century but largely rebuilt during the 19th century. It is constructed of brick, with a weatherboarded gable and an old tile roof, featuring a central brick chimney. The house is one storey and has an attic. It has two wide bays. The west front has two small gables and two bays of paired, barred wooden casement windows. A smaller, two-light casement window is centrally placed, with a single-light window to the left and one blocked doorway. All ground-floor openings have segmental heads. The north gable features 20th-century paired, barred wooden casements and a canted bay window. A boarded door, with a gabled porch, is located to the left, within a late 20th-century lean-to that runs along the east wall. The original east wall, now located inside the house, retains substantial timber framing. The building is included on the list for its group value.
