Description
Quantings is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, while the south side is roughcast and also whitewashed. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a brick chimney on the left side. The house has two original two-storey bays, flanked by lean-to extensions, and a single-storey 20th-century wing at the eastern end. The windows include irregular 20th-century leaded casements, with the north side showcasing old mullions on the three-light upper right window. The flanking extensions on the north side have projecting 20th-century porches, with the left porch being gabled. On the south side, there is a 20th-century gabled porch to the right of center and a 20th-century glazed door to the left. Inside, the house features slender curved wind-braces.
