Description
The Walnut Trees Public House is a mid-18th century public house that has been altered over time. It is constructed of brick, which has been whitewashed on the front, and features an old tiled roof with flanking brick chimneys, one of which has been rebuilt with an offset head. The building has an L-plan layout with later infill in the rear angle. It stands two storeys tall and has two bays. There is a band course at the first floor, although it is mostly concealed by a pent roof.
The ground floor includes 20th-century canted bay windows with barred wooden lights, while the first floor has three-light wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars. There are two doorways at the centre of the façade, with the right doorway blocked. A pent tiled roof extends over the ground floor windows and doorways, with the central section forming a small verandah supported by wooden posts and featuring a tile-hung gable. To the left, there is a 20th-century whitewashed brick extension with a parapet and flat roof.
