Description
Crockfords Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with extensions added in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is constructed of plum-coloured brick featuring vitreous headers and has a tiled gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan with irregular extensions at the rear and stands two storeys tall. There are chimneys at the gable ends, each with moulded brick heads.
The entrance front faces north-west and is symmetrical, consisting of five bays. It features a first-floor string and coved wooden eaves. The windows are two-light leaded casements, with those on the ground floor having gauged brick heads. The central entrance has a plank door with a glazed panel above it, topped by a flat moulded hood supported on shaped brackets.
