Description

Beenham's Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse with 17th-century fabric, altered in the 18th and 20th centuries. Part of the structure is timber framed and encased in brick, while another part is brick. It has old, gabled and coped tile roofs. The house has a double-depth plan with an outshot on the west side. It is two storeys high and features two gable chimneys at the front and one at the rear, all topped with clay pots.

The front (east) section presents a symmetrical facade of three bays. It has leaded casement windows: two 3-light windows on the first floor, with a single 2-light window in the centre; and two 3-light windows on the ground floor, each with a gauged brick head. A 6-panelled door is located centrally, set within a plain door case with an arched head and a radiating fanlight. The gable ends exhibit partially exposed timber framing, including queen post roof trusses. The chimneys have tumbled brickwork and offset heads.
