Description

Malthouse Farmhouse is a mid-18th century brick farmhouse with a hipped roof of old tiles. It has a rectangular plan, with a lean-to extension on the right side and a mid-20th century extension at the rear. The farmhouse is two storeys high and features two large, projecting end chimneys with offset heads. The symmetrical road facade has two bays, a plat band marking the first floor, and dentilled eaves. It contains three-light 18th century casement windows with a central glazing bar; those on the ground floor have cambered heads. The central entrance has a four-panelled door with a flat hood above. An old fire insurance plaque is located in the centre of the first floor.
