Description
This barn, located about 25 metres west of Great Knighton Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century but was largely rebuilt in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof, with a small section of timber framing remaining in the west wall. The barn has eight bays running north to south and includes two threshing floors, with two central bays situated between them. The east front displays diamond-shaped hit-and-miss ventilation holes. The timber framing includes two raking struts and a high collar, while the north-west corner wall features framing with three square panels stacked high.
