Description
The Gable House is a 17th-century house that was restored in 1981. It features a timber frame on a stone plinth with rendered infill and a thatched roof. The building has two framed bays aligned north to south and a central stack, with the gable end facing the street. The south front has one storey with a gable-lit attic. Above the gable window, there is a decorative wooden panel from the 17th century. The ground floor has a three-light 20th-century casement window, and the entrance is to the right, leading into a flat-roofed late 20th-century link block that connects to the living room. The framing consists of four square panels high with straight angle braces and decorative bracing in the gable panels.
