Description
Cymbeline is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame set on a painted stone plinth with rendered infill and has a slate roof. The building consists of two framed bays aligned north to south, with the gable end facing the street. There is a brick bay added in the 19th century that encloses a stack at the south end.
The north front has one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by a 2-light casement window in the gable and a 3-light casement window on the ground floor. There are two dormers with raked tops, which were formerly eyebrow dormers covered in thatch. The entrance is located to the right of the centre on the west front. The framing includes three square panels high to the wall-plate, and the north gable truss has three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
