Description
Chapel Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction with rendered infill set on a brick plinth and has a slate roof. The building consists of two framed bays aligned north to south, with the main stack located at the south gable, made of rubble with a brick shaft.
The east front has two storeys and includes two 20th-century fixed casements. The ground floor features three fixed casements, and there is an entrance in a 19th-century lean-to against the right-hand gable, which has a half-glazed door. The framing consists of three square panels high with straight angle braces, and the gable-end truss has three struts to the collar with V-struts in the apex.
