Description

Fayre Barn is a 17th-century house that has undergone some alterations in the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and a slate roof. The building consists of two framed bays oriented north to south, with the south gable facing the street. There is an external rubble stack and a square-plan brick chimney. The barn is one storey high and has a fixed casement window in the gable that lights the attic. To the right of the stack, there is an entrance with a mid-20th-century lean-to porch that has a glazed door. A flat-roofed dormer also lights the attic on the east front. The framing includes three square panels in height, and the gable-end truss features a collar with V-struts at the apex.
