Description
Orchard Bank is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction with rendered infill, set on a coursed rubble plinth, and is topped with a tile roof. The building has two framed bays that run north to south and includes an external brick stack on the north gable end. The east front has one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by two 2-light casements beneath a plank weathering in a framed gabled dormer. The ground floor also has two 2-light casements, both with plank weatherings above them. The entrance is located at the left-hand gable end. The framing consists of three square panels in height. The north gable truss features three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex, while the dormer also has V-struts in its gable.
