Description

This is a house, likely dating from the 16th century, with substantial extensions from the early 18th century and alterations in the mid-19th and late 20th centuries. It is timber-framed with rendered infill panels, set upon a plinth of coursed rubble, and has a tile roof. The building follows an L-shape, with a rear wing dating back to the 16th century extending southwest, and an 18th-century range to the southeast. A further wing extends northwards from the later 18th-century range. A main stack is located on the rear wall of the 18th-century range.

The northeast front, of two storeys, features a central two-storey gabled projection. This projection has a two-light casement window with a segmental head on each floor. Behind the main range, also of two storeys, are two fixed windows to the right and a two-light casement to the left. The ground floor to the left has a two-light and a single-light casement. The entrance, situated in the angle where the projecting wing meets the main building, is half-glazed. To the right of the entrance, the ground floor includes a large lean-to roof covering a 20th-century shop front, with a panelled double door. The framing of the 18th-century range consists of four rectangular panels.
