Description
Lower House is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century. It has a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill, set on a coursed rubble plinth, and features a hipped slate roof. The house consists of three framed bays that are aligned north to south, and it has a lateral rubble stack at the south-west corner. The south front has two storeys, with two 2-light casement windows on each floor. The entrance is located in the left-hand (west) wall. The framing consists of three square panels high with straight angle braces. The north gable truss includes three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
