Description
Court House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made during the 18th century and further changes in the 20th century. It features square panelled timber-framing, which is revealed on the south front, along with sections of wattle-and-daub and painted brick infill set on a sandstone rubble plinth. The external stacks have been rebuilt with diagonal brick shafts, and the roofs are a mix of tiles and Welsh slate. The building has an irregular plan, generally rectangular, with three gables on the north side, two on the east and west sides, and one on the south front. It includes lateral and axial stacks and has two storeys and cellars.
On the west front, there is a blocked stack to the left and a single 2-light multi-paned 20th-century casement window to the left. To the right of the doorway is a two-storey canted bay window with multi-paned 20th-century casement windows. The doorway features a semi-circular headed doorhead with a decorative fanlight above a six-panelled door. The farmhouse is situated on a moated site.
