Description
Nook Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and late 20th century alterations. It has a timber frame with rendered infill and an extension in brick, topped with a tiled roof. The building has a T-plan layout, with the main section aligned north to south and a cross-wing to the south made of early 19th century brick. There is a stack at the junction of these sections. The main range has three framed bays, with the northern bay being lower. The main range has two storeys, while the left bay is one storey and the cross-wing on the right has one storey with a gable-lit attic. The first floor features two 2-light casement windows, while the ground floor has three 2-light casement windows from the 20th century, plus one additional 2-light casement. The entrance is located to the left of the cross-wing and is accessed through a glazed porch with a nipped tile roof. The framing consists of three square panels, raised by an additional square panel.
