Description
The Old Rectory is a parsonage that has been converted into a house. It likely dates back to the 15th century, with alterations made in the 17th century and mid-20th century. The building features a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill, topped with a tile roof. It is probably five bays long and is oriented east to west, with the main chimney stack located to the east of the central bay.
On the north front, the building has two storeys and displays irregular window arrangements, featuring eight 20th-century casements with one, two, and three lights. The ground floor has five 20th-century casements, and the entrance is positioned to the left of the centre, featuring a ledged door. The framing includes three central bays that are close-studded with curved tension braces, while the other bays consist of four square panels high, which are likely 17th-century additions to the original structure. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
