Description
43 and 45 Priory Road are two shops that have been converted into cottages, dating from the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed of whitewashed brick and feature a brick dentil cornice. The building has an L-plan layout and is two storeys high. Number 43 has a one-window range and a concrete tile roof, while number 45 has a two-window range with 20th-century tiles.
Both shops retain their 19th-century shop fronts, which include pilaster panels and rectangular bay windows with glazing bars, along with separate fascias. Number 43 features a panelled door with an overlight, with the window and panels integrated into one design. Number 45 has a six-panelled door, two widely spaced bay windows, and four pilaster panels, two of which form the doorcase. The first floor has wooden casements with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
