Description

A pair of cottages located on Priory Road, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The cottages are built of brick, with a brick dentil cornice; number 53 has been whitewashed. They are arranged in a U-plan, with number 53 having a two-window front and number 55 having a one-window front. The doors are 20th-century replacements. Number 53 features an open weatherboard porch. The windows are mostly late 20th-century casements, set within segmental brick arches. The interior was not inspected. The cottages are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
