Description

A pair of cottages dating to circa 1800. They are constructed of Flemish bond brick with a half-hipped stone slate roof and a large axial brick stack. The cottages are two storeys high with a four-window front. Number 45 features a 6-panelled door, while number 46 has a 20th-century door. The ground floor has two 3-light casement windows to the centre and 2-light casement windows to the sides. The first floor has 2-light casement windows to the sides and two 3-light casement windows to the centre, all with flat brick arched heads. Original small-pane casements are present in number 46. A lean-to rear extension exists. The cottages represent a good and largely unaltered example of early 19th-century housing.
