Description

This is a 17th-century house, which was once used as a shop, and was refaced in the mid-to-late 19th century. The house is timber-framed with plaster and whitewashed brick infill, with the front of the building faced with whitewashed brick. It has a tile roof, and no chimneys are visible. The building is arranged in an L-shape. The front elevation is two storeys high, with a two-window front. The shop front is from the 19th century and features a central half-glazed, four-panelled door with an overlight, and two small, continuous canted bays with a decorative fascia. The first floor has two 19th-century casement windows with glazing bars. The left return side of the rear wing contains a single-storey outshut built of whitewashed brick, with a brick dentil cornice. The rear gabled wing has exposed timber framing on the first floor, although the ground floor is obscured by later additions. The interior has not been inspected.
