Description

A pair of houses dating from the early 19th century, situated on the south side of Evesham Street in Alcester. The houses are colourwashed with a brick dentil cornice, and have an old tile roof with brick ridge stacks. They are built on a double-depth plan. Number 8 has a three-window front, while Number 10 has a one-window range. Each house has a flat-panelled door within a moulded wooden surround of a different design; Number 8 features a hood supported by shaped brackets. Number 8 has a shallow bow window with a dentil cornice and fascia on the right-hand side, and a 16-pane sash window on the left. The first floor of Number 8 has 20th-century casement windows. Number 10 has a similar bow window with reeded pilaster strips, and a 19th-century casement window above. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
