Description
The Dog and Partridge Public House, dating from the early to mid 19th century, is a public house and house located on Bleachfield Street in Alcester. It is constructed of brick, featuring a brick dentil cornice, with the ground floor whitewashed. The building has a slate roof and brick ridge stacks, arranged in a U-plan with a central carriageway. It stands three storeys high and has a three-window range. The entrances include six-panelled doors, with the central carriage opening featuring double doors and flanking entrances that have overlights. The ground floor showcases two bow windows; No. 15 has paired sashes, while No. 13 has glazing bars only. The windows and doors are adorned with moulded wood surrounds and a continuous fascia. The upper floors contain sashes, with 16-pane windows on the first floor, set under rendered flat arches that have rusticated voussoirs and keystones. At the rear, there are irregular wings with tile roofs.
