Description
No. 14 Castle Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features a stucco finish over brick and has a hipped Welsh slate roof with a central brick chimney. The building stands two storeys high and has a two-window range with 6/6 sash windows that have simple wooden awnings. The eaves are adorned with brick modillions. The entrance is located to the right and consists of a 20th-century, six-panel door with a fanlight, all sheltered by an open pediment with a moulded hood supported by grooved pilasters. To the left of the entrance is another 6/6 sash window with an awning. The right side of the building has scattered windows. At the rear, there is a 19th-century wing with a brick corner chimney, modillioned eaves, and two late 19th-century 2/2 sash windows on the ground floor. The rear also features a 6/6 sash window and various 20th-century casements.
