Description
No. 10 Bridge Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with a possibly earlier core. The building is finished in stucco and has a Welsh slate roof with a gable at the front. There is a rubble end stack with a brick chimney topped with a 20th-century superstructure. The house is two storeys high with an attic and features a single window range. The late 19th-century window is a 2/2 sash set in a broad moulded case. The gable has a wood modillion cornice and a tripartite light with a moulded ogee-headed case, along with moulded and modillioned wood eaves.
The entrance is located to the right and consists of a 19th-century four-fielded-panel door, which is sheltered by a simple wood flat hood supported on consoles. To the left, there is a canted bay featuring 4/4, 6/6, and 4/4 sashes in a moulded case, all under a metal pentice roof. On the right side, there is a tier of fixed lights with glazing bars and a returned eaves detail. The left side is made of rubble and roughcast, with an exposed timber plate. There is a 20th-century door in an earlier opening and a 20th-century fixed light.
