Description
This building at 53 Bridge Street is a house that features a 19th-century front and a 17th-century core. The exterior is made of painted coursed rubble, with composite tiles on the front and Welsh slate on the steeper rear pitch. It has a brick stack at one end. The house is three storeys tall with a cellar and has a two-window range, featuring 6/6 sash windows in broad cases beneath stone segmental arches, and 20th-century 2/2 sliding sashes above. The central entrance has a late 19th-century half-glazed panelled door with a flat hood supported by brackets. To the left of the entrance is a late 19th-century 6/6 sash window. At the rear, there is timber-framing that dates back to the 17th century or earlier, with brick infill and a massive post.
