Description
The Farmhouse is a farmhouse that possibly dates back to the 17th century, with later additions. It is constructed with a timber frame that has painted brick infill and additional brickwork from later periods. The roof is made of slate. The building consists of two framed bays that are aligned east to west and face south, with further extensions added to both gable ends and to the rear on the north side.
There is a central entrance with a stack at the east end. The structure is single storey with an attic, featuring two half gables that each have 2-light windows. Two similar windows are located on either side of the central porch, which has a half-glazed door. Although the framing is mostly intact, it has been refaced in some areas and is obscured by later additions. Originally, there were three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate.
