Description
Peascroft is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered infill, a sandstone plinth, and stacks featuring brick shafts, topped with a thatched roof. The building consists of four framed bays arranged east to west and faces south. There is a large external stack with a lean-to bread oven on the gable end and a second axial stack to the west. The main entrance is centrally located, with an additional entrance to the west. At the rear, there are 20th-century additions. The house is a single storey with an attic, which features three irregularly proportioned eyebrow dormers, each fitted with 2-light 20th-century glazing bar casement windows. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light windows to the east and one to the west of the main entrance, which has a lean-to porch and a 20th-century door. There is also a further lean-to porch at the second entrance, which includes a glazed door.
