Description
The Box Bush Inn is a public house that dates from the late 18th century, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It has undergone alterations and additions in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed and squared sandstone rubble and features a hipped slate roof, along with later brick additions that have part slate and part corrugated metal roofs. The inn has a single depth plan that is aligned north to south and faces east, with a central entrance and end stacks, as well as later additions to both the north and south. It stands two storeys high and has three windows with segmental heads. On either side of the central 2-light casement window, there are 3-light casement windows. The inn also features a 20th-century gabled porch, a 20th-century door, a 20th-century canted bay window on the north extension, and a 3-light window on the south extension.
