Description
Olchon House is a farmhouse that likely has a core dating back to the 16th century, with extensive remodeling done in the late 17th century or early 18th century, and further alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed from rendered sandstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It has a rectangular plan that runs east to west, with the main axial stack located at the back of a through-passage and an additional stack at the east gable end. There is also a continuous lean-to addition on the north side. The house is two storeys high with attics.
On the south front, there is one 4-light casement window to the left and one 2-light casement window to the right. On the ground floor, there is a 2-light casement window and a large 3-light window to the left, with a similar large window to the right of a trellised gabled porch. The porch features an inner chamfered wooden framed doorway and a half-glazed door. Inside, the house includes a plank-and-muntin screen.
