Description

Great Cwm Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely dating back to the 16th century, with significant alterations and extensions in the late 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof, half-hipped on the southwestern side. The house follows an irregular, half-H-shaped plan, with wings extending to the northeast. The original section faces southeast, with a two-story, half-hipped end to the left featuring two 2-light windows. To the right is a single-story, attic wing with two gabled dormers, each containing a 2-light casement window (single light on the left, 2-light on the right). A low, squat, wooden-framed doorway with a battened door is positioned to the right. The house features gable-end stacks on the southern wing. The interior remains uninspected.
