Description

A row of three cottages dates from the late 18th or early 19th century. The cottages are built of brick with a Swithland slate roof. They are similar in style to numbers 6 to 10, though likely slightly earlier. The cottages are two storeys high. Numbers 12 and 14 each consist of two units, and sit on a cobble plinth. They have central doorways, with the doorway to number 14 framed by a moulded architrave. The windows are horizontally sliding sashes with top opening lights. Number 16 is a single-unit cottage. All ground-floor openings have cambered brick heads and horizontally sliding sashes with top opening lights. A dentilled eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. Gable stacks are present. Number 14 displays two insurance signs, one for the Union company and one for the Norwich company.
