Description
No. 25 Brookside is a mid-18th century house built of brick on a cobble plinth, topped with a Swithland slate roof that was raised in the 19th century. The house has two storeys and a two-unit plan, following the curve of the road. The central doorway features a four-panelled door set within a moulded wood architrave. On either side of the door are horizontal sliding sash windows with cambered brick arched heads: there are three lights to the left and two to the right. The two upper windows consist of a single light each, while the other has three lights. There is a small fire window located at the lower left. The eaves cornice is dentilled. To the left, there is a 19th-century single bay with casement windows, and gable end stacks complete the structure.
