Description

No. 2 Newgate End is a house from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Swithland slate roof. The building is two stories tall and has a three-unit plan, with one bay to the right of the door, which is framed by a moulded wood architrave. The ground floor has 20 light sash windows with cambered heads, set flush with the wall face, while the upper floor features a 12 light window above the door. There is also a round-headed stair window on the side elevation, which includes margin lights. The house has gable end stacks.
