Description

Avenue House is a house that was mostly built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two and a half stories tall and has three bays. The central door features a round arched tympanum above it, which has the engraved letters "Avenue House." On each floor, there are wide 20 light sash windows flanking the door. Above the door, there is a blind window, and the attic storey is also blind, with gable end lights. The house has gable end stacks and a dentilled eaves cornice. At the back, there is a lower wing, and the rear elevation shows evidence of 18th-century brickwork, including a stringcourse.
