Description

No. 34 Long Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features stucco over brick and has a low-pitched Swithland slate roof. The building is tall, with three storeys and three bays. The central door is framed by a Tuscan architrave with detached columns. On either side of the door, there are tripartite sash windows with small panes. The first-floor windows have 12 lights, while the attic windows have 9 lights. The ground floor stucco has channelling, and there are string courses along the building. A moulded eaves cornice adds detail to the roofline. The house has gable end stacks and a rear brick wing, which includes a small square addition with a pyramidal roof and a tripartite sash window.
