Description
Nos. 42 and 44 Bushloe End is a house with a shop (No. 44), which was formerly a master hosier's house and shop. It dates from the late 17th century, was raised in the late 18th century, and has a mid-19th century rear extension. The building is constructed of red brick with dark chequering on the ground floor and diaper work on the first floor. It features a granite plinth and a Welsh slate roof. The structure has three storeys, with each cottage being a single unit. No. 44 includes a mid-19th century shop front with a door and a four-light window beneath a fascia supported by console brackets. All other windows are three-light horizontally sliding sashes. There are gable end stacks, and the cruck is exposed in the gable end.
