Description

Nos. 1 and 3 East Street is a building originally constructed as a house in the 16th century, now divided into two dwellings. It has two storeys and features roughcast render over a timber frame. The street-facing side has a slate roof, while the rear has an old plain tile roof and a two-storey timber-framed gabled extension. There is a ridge stack on the roof. The first floor has a range of four horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, and there are two similar windows on the ground floor, along with an inserted 19th-century shop window. The entrance to No. 1 has an early 19th-century half-glazed door, while No. 3 features a recessed four-panelled door.
