Description

No. 27 Brookside is a house dated 1755, constructed of brick and topped with a Swithland slate roof. It has two storeys and a two-unit plan, featuring an off-centre doorway framed by a moulded wood architrave. Flanking the doorway are two-light casement windows with tall cambered brick heads. On the upper floor, there is a three-light casement window on either side of a single light. The house has a plain brick plinth and eaves cornice, with coped gables; however, the brick coping is now capped with concrete. There are gable end stacks, and the left-hand gable displays a slate with the initials W.P.
