Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage located on Vicarage Lane in Barkby. It is constructed of painted brick with a roof of Swithland slate. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high. The central doorway is set within a wooden case. The windows are three-light horizontal sliding sashes, and all ground-floor openings have cambered brick heads. A dentilled eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, and there is a gable end stack. The cottage is set back from the road.
