Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage located on Upper Church Street in Syston. The building is constructed of brick with a roof of Swithland slate. It has a three-unit plan, with one bay to the left of the doorway containing a three-light horizontally sliding sash window. To the right of the doorway are two further horizontally sliding sashes, each with two lights. All ground floor window openings have wide, splayed, flat arched heads that are painted. Four upper windows, each with two lights and horizontally sliding sashes, are present. A stack is located on the left-hand gable.
