Description
No. 33 High Street is a cottage, likely originating from the late 16th century, though it has been restored. The exterior is rendered over a timber frame and brick base, topped with a thatched roof. The building is 1 and a half storeys high and consists of three units. To the left of the doorway, there is one bay featuring a renewed sash window. The door slightly projects, with an eyebrow dormer above it. On the right side, there are two additional renewed sash windows, as well as windows in the gable walls. The gables are finished with brick copings, and there are two axial stacks. Inside, two pairs of crucks are visible, complete with wind-braces, suggesting that the space may have once been open to the roof.
