Description
No. 12 Main Street is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick on a cobble plinth and features a Swithland slate roof. The building has two storeys and a two-unit plan. To the left of the doorway, there is a 16-light sash window with a cambered gauged brick head. The doorway itself has an overlight and a moulded wood architrave. To the right of the door, there is a wide three-light window with a small wooden canopy supported by brackets. The upper windows are also 16-light sashes. The house has a moulded brick eaves cornice and a sill band. The cobble plinth stops short at the left-hand gable, which has a built-out stack. There is a stack on the right-hand gable, as well as another stack placed axially but very close to it.
