Description
House, largely of the early 18th century, although with evidence of an earlier core. It is constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof and is two storeys high. The building comprises a main range and a projecting cross wing to the west. The main range has three units, with the bay to the left of the front door featuring a 3-light casement window on the ground floor and a 2-light horizontally sliding sash window above. A 6-panelled door, with an overlight and gauged brick head, is centrally located. To the right of the door are three windows with wood mullions and transoms, each with upper opening lights on both floors. Above the door, two straight joints suggest a possible blocked opening or a discontinuity in the construction; a timber post is visible at first-floor level to the left of this feature. A plinth and ornately moulded eaves cornice are present. The projecting wing appears to be a later addition externally, and its gable apex is even later. This wing has two 3-light horizontally sliding sash windows in its gable wall, the upper window having a cambered head. Gable and axial stacks are visible.
