Description

This is a barn located at the rear of Number 32 on Main Street in Barkby, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick on a granite plinth and features a Welsh slate roof that was raised in the later 19th century. The gable faces the street and includes small ventilation holes. The principal elevation has central double doors, with diamond-patterned vents on either side. The east wall has an additional door and a window, both with cambered heads, which may have served a former stable. The barn is included for its group value with nearby structures.
