Description
The stable and adjoining barn, located 5 meters west of Number 37, dates from the mid-18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared ironstone and brick faced with ironstone, featuring brick dressings and roofs made of Welsh slate and corrugated iron. The building is designed in an L-shape.
On the north side of the stable, there is a central door flanked by single casement windows. To the left, there is a lean-to addition with a 2-light casement window. All openings have wooden lintels. The northeast front of the barn includes a segmental-headed barn doorway on the left and a door with a segmental head and overlight on the right. The rear features a blocked doorway on the left, with two breathers and a broken pitch hole to its right. Inside, there is a 19th-century kingpost roof made from reused timber, supported by two queenpost trusses over the barn doors. This building is included for its group value.
