Description

This is a farmhouse, later adapted as a house, dating to 1631. It was extensively refenestrated in the 18th century, with a further wing added in 1849. The building is constructed of ironstone with limestone dressings, and has Welsh slate roofs. It has a plinth and coped gables, with two 19th-century rendered brick valley stacks. The original design was a three-bay, two-story building with a double-range plan.

The south front features a central gabled porch with quoins, a chamfered flat-headed doorway with a keystone, and a coped gable with a finial. A datestone inscribed '1631' is set within the gable. There are two 10/10 sash windows either side of the porch, and three smaller 6/6 sashes above, all with keystoned flat heads. The east gable has a full-height glazing bar sash to the left, a similar smaller sash and a smaller leaded casement to the right. Above, the gable contains a glazing bar sash and a three-light leaded casement, both with keystoned flat arches. Datestones inscribed '1849' are positioned in the peaks of both gables.

The west double gable has a 19th-century three-light mullioned and transomed casement with a keystoned segmental head to the left. To the right, a 19th-century glazing bar sash is present, and above are two similar sashes, all with keystoned flat heads. The rear elevation features a 20th-century lean-to porch, flanked to the left by a 20th-century casement and a two-light iron-framed leaded casement. Above, there are two 19th-century plain sashes.
