Description
No. 89 on Loughborough Road in Mountsorrel is a shop that was originally a cottage, dating from the 18th century and altered in the late 19th century. The building features a mix of granite rubble stone and red brick, topped with a Swithland slate roof and brick end stacks. It stands two storeys high, with two boarded windows above a late 19th-century double shop front, which is also boarded. There is a central recessed boarded door. The facade includes a granite rubble stone plinth with colourwashed brick above. On the left end, there is a small boarded window on both floors. Inside, the property boasts chamfered ceiling beams, a two-fielded-panelled door, and a moulded stone fireplace lintel.
