Description
Numbers 9 and 9A are 18th-century houses located on the west side of Loughborough Road in Mountsorrel. They are constructed of granite rubble stone, with some areas rendered, and feature brick nogged eaves. The roof is made of Swithland slate, hipped to the right, with a plain tile roof on the right end and brick ridge and end stacks, totaling four. The buildings are two storeys high and have four 2-light wooden mullion and transom windows, with the ground floor windows partly boarded. There is a central door, and the lintels above the windows have projecting keystones. On the right end, there is a similar window on the first floor, along with a door and a blocked window below. At the rear, there are one-storey outhouse extensions and a cobbled yard to the rear and left side. A granite rubble stone wall, approximately 2 meters high, extends from the rear up Crown Lane and then turns across the garden.
