Description
No. 9 and 9A on Park Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door, two of which are glazed, with panelled reveals and a simple pedimented doorcase. To the left, there is a canted bay window. All windows are sashes with glazing bars, set under cambered stone arches. The building includes two gabled dormers with casement windows and has two gable-end chimneys, one made of stone and the other of brick. There are also two massive stepped buttresses on the right side. A later 19th-century two-storey service wing, which has four windows, is positioned at right angles to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
